When the venerable Villa Skärtofta, which is part of Vår Gård in Saltsjöbaden just outside Stockholm, opened earlier this year, textiles were a crucial component in the interior design. With interiors that combine historical charm from 1897 with modern design elements, a unique atmosphere capturing both homeliness and elegance has been created.

The ambition for Vår Gård has been to create a setting that feels as modern as it is classic, while enhancing the Italian influences found in both the interior and the menu. The textiles soften the villa's architectural expression, where robust materials like oak and iron dominate, and curtains and upholstery fabrics in natural and muted tones add a sense of comfort and luxury without compromising the grandeur of the venue.

Here, guests can enjoy the best of both Swedish and Italian design culture. Every detail has been refined, from the curtains that filter the light in a pleasant way to the soft cushions and coverings that make the environment both sophisticated and inviting.
