Recycle your Trevira CS textiles
The fibre manufacturer Indorama Ventures Fibers Germany GmbH has a return programme for textiles made from their polyester fibre Trevira CS. This means that the material in the textiles can be collected and reused through mechanical recycling. Svensson assists customers who have purchased textiles from us in completing the recycling process.

Which textiles can be recycled?
Fabrics in Trevira CS purchased from Svensson can be included in the fibre manufacturer Indorama Ventures' return system. The condition is that the textile is dry, clean and free from finishing agents. Both coloured fabrics and printed curtains are approved for the return flow. Even a small content of other textile materials than Trevira CS, such as sewing thread, is allowed.
How does the recycling process work?
The mechanical recycling process and further processing into nonwovens take place at Indorama Ventures' recycling partner in Germany. The fabrics are mechanically recycled and torn down into fibres, which, if necessary, are further processed into nonwovens with various specifications by adding new and/or low-melting fibres.

What happens to the material once it has been recycled?
By recycling textiles, the material can gain a new life. For example, the recycled material can be used for thermal or sound insulation. In addition to acoustic panels, the material can be used for sound-absorbing wall coverings, freestanding partitions, ceiling hangings, or decorative objects, among other things.
