Transparent
Filters the light nicely, lets through most daylight.

Being able to influence one's local environment is important for our well-being. Studies show that the feeling of control over things like light and sound makes people feel better and perform more focused.
With hanging fabrics, it is possible to create environments that can be quickly adjusted according to activity, time of day, or the weather outside. What is fundamentally a practical solution is therefore a prerequisite for creating environments where people feel good.
One of the most effective solutions for working with daylight is to combine various textiles in layers. Then you create the opportunity to switch between different light levels, depending on activity or need.
To make it easy to find the right textiles, we have categorized our products into four levels of transparency:

Filters the light nicely, lets through most daylight.

Allows daylight to pass through and provides some protection against glare.

Provides a clear screen against light and visibility without creating darkness. Effective protection against glare.

Lets through less than 1% light. Very effective protection against glare.
Combine fixed furnishings with textiles that can be drawn, folded away, or moved along tracks to easily adapt the room according to daylight, needs, and activity.
Adapt to cardinal directions There is no single "perfect" solution that works best everywhere. Some cardinal directions require more screening, others just filtering, while some, on the contrary, need to enhance the light. See our quick guide to daylight and cardinal directions.
A classroom requires different solutions than a quiet zone in the office.
Use different fabrics in different parts of the room, depending on the needs.
Create opportunities for the individual user to influence their immediate environment. This provides a stronger sense of control and increased comfort.

Designing daylight
Daylight changes throughout the day and year – in intensity, direction, and hue. Here, we go through how natural light works and how it affects the room, so you can make better decisions regarding upholstery fabrics, entry, and visual comfort.

Designing sounds
What can you create with daylight? Here we show you how to use daylight – not just block or let it through – to make light, view, and temperature your design tools.
